Dr. Eric Thompson is a podiatric surgeon and wound care specialist with a focus on treating disorders and diseases of the foot. With additional training in Wound Care, he is proficient using multiple modalities to improve healing difficult/complicated foot wounds.
Dr. Thompson is ECHN's
Wound Care Medical Director and specializes in all conditions of the foot, including, but not limited to, Diabetic foot care and prevention, ingrown toenails, fractures, sprains/strains, foot ulcer management and limb preservation foot surgery. Similarly, he is able to manage many podiatric disorders of the skin, nails, and musculoskeletal structures.
Dr. Thompson was raised in Montville, CT. He attended Montville High School. After completing his undergraduate degree at UCONN, he attended podiatric medical school at NYCPM in New York City, NY. He then completed his residency at Carney Hospital/Tufts School of Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Thompson moved back to CT and joined the practice of Brian Deschamps DPM in 2001.
Dr. Thompson is excited to be apart of ECHN. He is committed to continuing his care of the community's foot problems in his new capacity as an ECHN Medical Group podiatrist.
