Common Venous Conditions

Treatment Options

At ECHN, we take a comprehensive approach to treating venous conditions and diseases.

  1. An initial consultation is scheduled with a provider to conduct a full examination and help establish a personalized treatment plan.

Did You Know? Insurance may require a patient to wear prescription-grade compression stockings for at least 6 weeks following the initial consultation. If you’ve recently done compression stocking therapy, please inform our providers during your consultation.

  2. Based on the consultation, a minimally invasive venous procedure may be scheduled to treat the problem. Our providers will work with the insurance company to learn if the procedure will be covered under a patient’s healthcare plan before the appointment is scheduled.

  3. Following the venous procedure, an ultrasound will be scheduled to ensure everything went well and patients are feeling better.

Venous Procedures

Minimally invasive, non-surgical procedures are available to help alleviate the symptoms of varicose veins including leg pain, swelling, skin irritation and vein inflammation.

Did You Know? These procedures typically take only 30 minutes. A local anesthetic is applied to ensure patients are comfortable. Most patients can resume normal activities in just a few hours after the procedure, and recovery is around one day. Depending on your treatment plan, you may need additional treatment and follow-up care but most patients will start seeing results after only one procedure and symptoms reduced in two weeks.
