ECHN's Community Partnerships

Throughout the year, ECHN supports Manchester and Vernon non-profit organizations in a myriad of ways that benefit our communities. Organizations are selected based on their alignment with our mission, and core values, embrace diversity and inclusion, and ultimate interest in improving the lives of the people we serve. Support ranges from monetary and in-kind donations to full partnership in managing and executing events that impact community members in lasting and profound ways.

Manchester Road Race

For numerous years, ECHN has been a presenting sponsor of the Manchester Road Race, and has played an integral role in the planning and festivities on race day and events leading up to race day including the Manchester Little Road Race, which many of our ECHN caregivers attend to share health and wellness information and interact with the little runners.

We also participate in the Ray Crother's Blood Drive, where a record was set this year for the most pints of blood donated at one drive!

Spring Kits for Kids

Demonstrating that great things happen when we come together, the 2021 Spring Kits for Kids Drive collected over 1,300 crafts and egg coloring kits for Manchester and Vernon community kids by combining the efforts of ECHN caregivers and the AFT Nurse’s Union. MACC Charities Food Pantry, and Hockanum Valley Food Pantry had enough kits to distribute to every family they serve!

Kappa League Leadership Conference

In partnership with Manchester Rotary, ECHN hosted a two-day conference for 60 young men of color from Manchester High School. The conference was facilitated by the Kappa League of Hartford and the Manchester Police Department presented a module on the path to becoming a police officer. The event was overwhelmingly successful, and a second event is being planned.

Rebuilding Together Manchester

Celebrating its 30th year, Rebuilding Together Manchester set a goal to enlist 30 teams of 30 people, and ECHN was happy to answer the call! Our team of 30 volunteers transformed the yard of a very grateful Manchester resident, making it safefor her to access her home.

Ukraine Emergency Response

Thank you to everyone for their support in donating to this cause. With your generous donations, ECHN is able to contribute $20,720.00 to Americares!

ECHN, our corporate member, was the first one to step up and offer to host the youth leadership program at their organization, Manchester Memorial Hospital. Our youth are our future and having ECHN partnered with Rotary, the Manchester Police Department, the Manchester School System and the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity to provide the meeting space and meals created the foundation of this event, for our community and our youth.ECHN promotes health and wellness and recognizes the need in our community for our young men of color supporting this leadership program, ensuring that the impact of this conference and the engagement of our local leaders, speakers and facilitators will enhance their education, physical and emotional well-being for their future success. We cannot thank ECHN enough for their involvement and engagement in such an important role in our community.
