Special Hospital Accommodations for Spine Care

At Rockville General Hospital, patients having spine surgery or other spinal procedures can recover in the Bissell II South nursing unit. This wing features six single-bed rooms in a quiet unit with complementary cable TV and Wi-Fi and outstanding care. Patient satisfaction scores for this unit have consistently been in the top 99% in Connecticut.

In addition, a special non-surgical treatment for spine pain is available at Rockville General Hospital. This procedure, called vertebroplasty, involves the use of fluoroscopy – a type of x-ray that creates real-time images of the inner body – to inject medication into the spinal area to help relieve back pain.
