Early Detection Program
To support early detection, the Women's Center for Wellness participates in the Connecticut Breast and Cervical Early Detection Program, as well as the WiseWomen Program for heart disease screening.
The Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
The objective of the program is to increase the number of women who receive breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnostic and treatment referral services. All services are offered free of charge to eligible women. This program provides a clinical breast exam, Pap test and mammogram.
Our free mammography services are also funded by Team Towanda and private donations.
The Connecticut WISEWOMAN Program.
This program provides women, who are found at risk for heart disease, a chance to participate in nutrition and physical activity interventions which will help decrease their risk of heart disease.
