Woodlake Wishes

Woodlake at Tolland offers a program called "Woodlake Wishes" to grant wishes to its residents. Donations from the community help fund the wishes, which can be submitted by all Woodlake residents or their families on their behalf.

How It Works

Residents' wishes are granted one at a time and are chosen based on a variety of factors. Some wishes are simple and easy to provide, while others may be more complex, requiring additional funding, resources, and coordination. Medical and personal factors are considered. All wishes are important and are considered for granting.

Some of the wishes we’ve granted to our residents include a limousine trip to see a Broadway play, a visit to a resident’s home town, a day at Fenway Park for a Red Sox game, and a day of fishing at a local pond.

Woodlake residents and their families may submit wishes in writing or may speak to a nurse or someone on staff. While it might not be possible to grant all wishes, the goal is to brighten the lives of Woodlake residents and let them know that the people in the community care about them.

How You Can Help

Community residents and businesses can help in two ways:

  • Individuals can volunteers to help make residents' dreams come true. By contributing just a few hours, a person can make a real difference in someone's life.
  • Woodlake gratefully looks to individuals, businesses, and residents' families to help fund wishes. Donations in any amount are welcome.
