Navigator Services
When diagnosed with cancer, patients and their loved ones are too often left alone to find information, cope with a cancer diagnosis, make decisions under pressure, seek the best medical care, and deal with financial, insurance, and/or employment issues. These stressful tasks drain energy that should focused on treatment and recovery. Patient Navigators assist with all of these issues.
A Nurse Navigator, Sheila Citroni, RN, OCN is available to help you navigate through the healthcare system. Sheila can assist you, your loved ones and caregivers in finding support and resources you need. She can help with symptom management, getting a second opinion, scheduling tests, referral for homecare services and coordinating your care. A Survivorship Navigator, Lee Tremback, LCSW is available to meet with you, your loved ones and/or caregivers to provide advocacy and help with your emotional or financial support. Lee can meet with you for supportive counseling, assistance in locating resources to help you with finances, disability, medical insurance, advance directives and post-treatment survivorship care planning.
