Walden Behavioral Care
Walden Behavioral Care has partnered with Eastern Connecticut Health Network to open the South Windsor, CT eating disorder clinic. The clinic is Walden's first in CT and will be the first in the state to include services for males, as well as females, and individuals with binge-eating disorder, in addition to anorexia and bulimia.
The eating disorder programs provided at the clinic include:
- Adult Partial Hospitalization
- Adult Intensive Outpatient
- Adolescent Intensive Outpatient
- Intensive Outpatient for Binge and Night Eating
Program Descriptions:
Adult Partial Hospitalization
- 3-4 week program, five days/week
- Group programs include dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy, self-esteem, nutrition education, expressive therapy, body image, and relapse prevention
Adult Intensive Outpatient
- 4-6 weeks, three evenings/week
- Groups programs include dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy, self-esteem, nutrition education, expressive therapy, body image, and relapse prevention
Adolescent Intensive Outpatient
- 8 weeks, 3 evenings/week
- Groups programs include dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy, self-esteem, nutrition education, expressive therapy, body image, and relapse prevention
Intensive Outpatient for Binge and Night Eating:
- 6 weeks, 3 evenings/week
- Group programs include dialectical and behavioral therapy, nutrition therapy, stress management, goal setting, and weekend meal planning
