Joint Commission
Accreditation from The Joint Commission is a mark of excellence and high standards in health care. All four of the ECHN affiliates who are eligible for JCAHO accreditation have earned it: Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, Woodlake at Tolland, and Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut.
Mammography
Our mammography services at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, the Women's Center for Wellness, and the Glastonbury Wellness Center all are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and are approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as certified mammography facilities, both of which are important measures of quality.
Laboratory
The laboratories at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital have earned accreditation pursuant to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Both laboratories also are accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
Nuclear Medicine
The Nuclear Medicine Departments at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital have received accreditation from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL). The ICANL is dedicated to promoting quality nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine diagnostic evaluation in the delivery of health care. Both hospitals are in compliance with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission protocol.
Diabetes Self-Management Recognition
Our Diabetes Self-Management program has earned official recognition by the American Diabetes Association in accordance with the national standards for quality patient education.
Commission on Cancer Care
ECHN's comprehensive cancer services based at Manchester Memorial Hospital have earned approval by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, a designation given only to those facilities that have committed to providing the best in diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
American Academy of Sleep Medicine
The ECHN Sleep Disorders Laboratory at MMH has earned accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Continuing Medical Education
The Continuing Medical Education department at Eastern CT Health Network has received Accreditation with commendation from the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS). Eastern CT Health Network is accredited as a sponsor of Continuing Medical Education for four years effective October 5, 2010.
