The da Vinci® Si™ surgical system is transforming lives with smaller incisions for faster recovery and less pain. Join Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) and members of the Manchester Memorial Hospital Perioperative Robotic Team on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk (in the Village Green near Pinkberry), South Windsor. You will gain knowledge about the robot and the advantages of robotic surgery. Come test drive the robot and enter to win a $100 gift card. Radio Station 105.9 will be broadcasting live from 10 a.m. to noon.
While you are there check out another table sponsored by ECHN, Be The Match® marrow drive. This drive will help patients with diseases like leukemia, lymphoma, or other blood diseases. You could be the cure for patients in need of a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. Registration is simple, requiring only paperwork and a cheek swab—no blood is taken at registration. Age eligibility is between 18 and 44. If you prefer, you can make a monetary donation—every $100 raised helps had a member to the Registry. Contributions can be made today at: www.BeTheMatchFoundation.org/goto/ribc. Typing fees for this drive are covered by health insurance or Michael’s Fund. Please bring your health insurance card. Please contact Jen St. Peter at 401-248-5762 or firstname.lastname@example.org regarding eligibility questions. General questions can be directed to Kathy Walsh at 860-647-4740 or KaWalsh@echn.org.
The Women’s Center for Wellness will also have a table set up where you may pick up breast health information. For your convenience, you will be able to make your annual mammogram appointment right on the spot. Donna Cameron, RN, ECHN Women’s Health Nurse Navigator, will be on hand to answer questions regarding women and breast health questions.
We hope to see you there.
