MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT - October is almost here, and Panera’s annual Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign will be starting soon! The Pink Ribbon Bagel Program is designed to support local foundations in their efforts to increase awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection and prompt treatment, research, free mammograms and survivor programs. In 2012, the campaign will provide the following benefits to the ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation:
• The Pink Ribbon Bagel: Throughout October, bakery-cafes located in Manchester, Buckland Mall, Glastonbury, South Windsor, West Hartford, Bristol, Newington, Enfield, Wethersfield and Canton will donate $.25 from each pink ribbon bagel sold to the Breast Care Collaborative at Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN). This year six additional locations have been added!
• Cater Pink: All catering orders at the Buckland and Glastonbury locations ONLY during October will have 10 percent of their cost donated to the Breast Care Collaborative. Orders must be accompanied by the words “Cater Pink!”
• Gift Cards to Survivors: This year, Panera will “roll out the Pink Carpet for Survivors” by donating Panera Gift cards to the foundation. These gift cards will be given to survivors so they may go to Panera Bread to eat, relax and enjoy.
ECHN is very grateful to have Panera’s partnership for the fourth consecutive year to promote early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
