ECHN’s Rockville General Hospital (RGH) and Evergreen Imaging Center (South Windsor) recently received a three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for their CT (computed tomography) scanning services. Accreditation is a voluntary process that evaluates a facility’s scan practices to include patient dose, image quality, and safety. Accreditation is not easily obtained. This recognition is in direct response to the high level of services provided at RGH and Evergreen Imaging.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologist, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
